Our story

Camellia yarns is a place where creative souls get inspired and motivated. We are open to suggestions and your wishes about what you would like to see in our shop. Although we are small, our dream is to be a place where everyone can find exactly what they need.

Our love for various kinds of crafts had started long before the opening of the camellia yarn shop. But when we finally opened our doors to customers (in 2018) we noticed that our fondness towards this art grew even larger. We wanted to offer the highest quality yarns, so we started off with just a few brands (like DROPS) that we thought people would like and appreciate. At first, our circle of customers was narrow, and it increased very slowly. That was difficult for us – emotionally and financially –, and, of course, we started doubting ourselves. But we noticed that in this way – with a small number of customers – we were able to build personal relationships with each and every one of them. We connected with them on a deeper level and ensured the best possible service and support. They returned to our shop and recommended us to their friends.
After a few years, we had grown so much that our initial shop's space became too small! We had to expand! So we moved to another building with more room to fill with our yarns and other accessories.
These days we are actively working in our physical shop in Riga and also delivering our goods to other cities and countries. Our regular customers often bring us their works that we can admire. We feel proud that we have built such a supporting and loving community, and we hope you will join us!
