Vilja is a beautiful 3-ply yarn spun from the fibers of Peruvian alpacas. It's soft, warm, and flexible, making it ideal for a wide range of projects. We use the same high-quality fibers as Alva.

Alpaca, a member of the camel family, originates from the South American highlands. The indigenous peoples of South America have utilized alpaca fibers for thousands of years.

In the South American highlands, temperatures can swing from +30°C to -20°C in a single day. The hollow structure of alpaca fibers creates air pockets, which allow the fiber to breathe during warm days and insulate during cold nights. This adaptation makes alpacas well-suited to their environment and makes alpaca fiber ideal for clothing.
