How to Wash

Few things compare to the satisfaction of slipping into a freshly knitted sweater or a cozy pair of socks, especially after dedicating countless hours to crafting them and seeing the results turn out exactly as imagined. We’re here to assist you in caring for your woolen creations, ensuring they enjoy a long lifespan.

Since our yarns vary, we provide specific care instructions tailored to each type. It's particularly important to follow our guidance when washing items made from multiple yarn qualities or with more than one color.

Gently hand wash in lukewarm water using a certified wool detergent. Be sure to handle your knitted piece with care. Rinse it in water that matches the temperature of the wash water. Lay the garment on a towel, roll it up, and press softly to remove excess water. Shake it out gently, then lay the item flat on a towel to dry.

Superwash

If you see label "SUPERWASH" - the wool in these yarns has undergone a superwash treatment, allowing for machine washing without the risk of felting. We suggest to place the finished garment in a lingerie laundry bag. Use a certified wool detergent and select a gentle or wool cycle at 30°C, with a spin speed of no more than 800 rpm. After washing, lay the item flat on a towel to dry.

How to wash knitear with different colours

Follow the washing instructions specific to the yarn used. For projects combining very light and very dark colors, wash in a generous amount of water. Do not allow the knit to soak; remove it from the water immediately after washing. Rinse thoroughly in water at the same temperature, repeating until the water runs completely clear.
