Mohair shares all the great qualities we love about wool: it's warm, beautiful, and can absorb moisture, making it comfortable to wear. Mohair is sourced from the angora goat, and its fibers are more lustrous and slightly stronger than wool.

Silk has been one of the most sought-after fibers for centuries. It’s glossy, durable, and incredibly soft against the skin.

Tilia is a stunning blend of shiny mulberry silk wrapped in a delicate cloud of the finest kid mohair. Technically, Tilia is a fine, worsted-spun, and brushed yarn.

While you can certainly knit Tilia on its own, we recommend pairing it with one of our other yarns for added texture and depth.

Fun fact: the angora goat is named after the Ankara region in Turkey. The term "mohair" has Arabic origins, and the angora goat is also known as the mohair goat!
