Stitching gets a professional look: the stitches are pre-programmed with optimal stitch width and length and the thread tension adjusts automatically ensuring neat and even results. The Veritas Emily has some very handy features, such as an automatic stop function that repairs holes and scuffs in an instant. Other time-saving features include an automatic threader, the automatic lock button, easy-to-change presser feet and the fully automatic thread cutter, which cuts the top and bobbin threads with the touch of a button. Making buttonholes will be a breeze thanks to the 1-step automatic buttonhole function. With 3 different buttonholes, each creation gets a personal touch. Veritas sewing machines are named after inspiring women. Emily Brontë (1818-1848) wrote the literary classic Wuthering Heights (1847), her only novel, under the pseudonym Ellis Bell. She also wrote poetry. She attended boarding schools in England and Brussels and later taught at a boarding school herself. She died of tuberculosis at the age of thirty after refusing to receive any medical assistance.
